hsr/ny Launches Online Music Search with Expansion, hsr/ny Now Has Largest Digital Music Library and Search Capabilities in US

May 27, 2004 -- hsr/ny has vastly expanded their music library and music search capabilities with the launch of Online Music Search, it was announced today by Founder/CEO Howie Schwartz. With 15 terabytes of online storage (almost 900,000 pieces of music) the new hsr digital music library leap frogs any current method of searching for music and makes available to hsr/ny clients the largest online music library in the United States.

hsr/ny Music Director Andrew Knox explained, "The most exciting aspect of our new digital library is that, through web-based interfaces, ad agencies, smaller facilities, editors, anyone with whom we have a working relationship, can avail themselves of hsr's Online Music Search. They can access the power of our music library, browse, pick what they need, and pay only for what they use. Enter whatever parameters you like - strings, children's music, circus, drums - and up it comes! What could be simpler? This is a great pre-production ‘idea' tool as well. Creatives can access the data base and a piece of music might trigger new ideas for spots."

Marty Newman, hsr/ny Vice President of Engineering, who worked closely with mSoft (Woodland Hills, CA) to build the new system added, "Now, almost every music library out there is searchable in a matter of seconds. It is a very powerful in-house tool which will save us a lot of time and space. Building a music library is extremely costly and requires constant updating. Few can justify the cost."

Online Music Search:
·Access Online Music Search from any internet connection
·Search and license music from over 70 major music libraries from one location
·Audition high quality streaming MP3 files
· Download broadcast quality audio files to your Digital Audio Workstation
·Each user has a personalized music search profile which allows them to save favored music selections and archive every music search
·Access is available to qualified hsr/ny clients only

Of his expanded service Howie Schwartz is quick to add, "This new technology does not replace the human element, it enhances it. Online Music Search is a great tool but if one needs assistance, for a search fee, Andrew Knox is still available. With Andrew, clients can have a more personal, hands-on interaction when picking music and sound effects. He has a thorough knowledge of all our libraries and an extensive musical background and clients can feel comfortable having their music needs met, whether they utilize Online Music Search or they are in need of original compositions."
